Some of the worst drought conditions in the United States are in California, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Oregon, Washington and Nevada. Parts of Texas have seen drought conditions improve due to recent rain but there is still some drought conditions especially in western Texas. The lack of rainfall out west will have an impact on fires this year. The Carolinas also have a developing drought situation.
