TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL has formed close to the Bay of Campeche it has 40 mph winds as of Tuesday afternoon, pressure 1004 MB. This is the 3rd Atlantic named storm of the 2020 season. It is the earliest date for an Atlantic 3rd named storm formation on record (since 1851). Old record was Colin on June 5, 2016. This storm will be a very slow mover. Most models show this storm slowly moving towards Louisiana and parts of Texas sometime next weekend and making landfall somewhere along the Louisiana or Texas coast.
