Ian is expected to become at least a major category 3 Hurricane. I DO expect track shifts in the days ahead as new data comes in and some changes in forecast intensity. Always prepare for a category higher to be on the safe side. Impacts will be possible in Georgia and the rest of the southeast in the Friday/Saturday time frame. This is a storm to take seriously. The farther west it shifts the higher the impacts will be inland for states like Georgia, North Carolina, parts of Alabama and Tennessee but if it shifts farther east impacts would be lower. There was a shift west with the latest data. I will continue to provide updates as new information comes in.
