Above is a map of Tornado reports through July 29th, 2020. Georgia has had 65 tornadoes this year more than Oklahoma several of which touched down between February and April. Many touched down during the April 2020 deadly tornado outbreak. Alabama has had 70 tornadoes this year, Florida has had 47, Tennessee 34, Mississippi 108, Louisiana 53, Texas 93, South Carolina 40, North Carolina 32, Oklahoma 29, Missouri 26, Arkansas 32, Kentucky 23, Kansas 24, Illinois 41, Indiana 15, Ohio 18, and Iowa 24. The south and southeast has been more active than much of the plains this year. South Carolina particularly upstate South Carolina and the Piedmont region in North Carolina has been very active this year in terms of severe weather and tornadoes.
