The Tropics are heating up earliest 7th named storm on record (Gonzalo forms) and TD 8.

TRACKING THE TROPICS: Tropical Update The latest on Tropical Storm Gonzalo it is the earliest 7th named storm on record it has 60 mph winds as of Wednesday night July 22nd It is far away from the United States and over 1000 miles from the Windward Islands moving west towards the Caribbean. It is likely to become the first hurricane of the Atlantic Hurricane Season and become Hurricane Gonzalo by tomorrow with 75 mph winds. The National Hurricane Center has designated the disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico as Tropical Depression Eight it will become Tropical Storm Hanna eventually by the weekend with 45 mph winds and head towards Texas as a big rain maker flooding is possible in southeast and southern Texas. Hurricane Douglas in the Pacific Ocean is strengthening rapidly and will soon become a category 3 hurricane. It will head towards Hawaii but by the time it reaches Hawaii by the weekend and early next week it will weaken and is forecast to be a strong Tropical Storm. It will bring heavy rainfall and gusty winds to Hawaii.
