This weekend between 4 and 8" of rainfall with isolated higher amounts has fallen across much of Tennessee especially middle Tennessee. The Nashville area has been hit hard and Franklin. Numerous water rescues have been underway this weekend and evacuations. Parts of I-24 was shut down Saturday night and Sunday. East Tennessee has also had some extreme flooding especially in northeast Tennessee. The Kingsport area was also hard hit. At least four people have died. Nashville has declared a state of emergency. Several storms and round after round of rainfall moved through this weekend. Rainfall and storms have "trained" over the same areas leading to the significant deadly flooding.
