Parts of Georgia and Alabama are now considered "Abnormally Dry". Carolina drought worsens.

As of the first week of December most of Georgia and Alabama including metro Atlanta, North Georgia and west Georgia is considered "Abnormally Dry" after a mostly dry November. Atlanta only had 1.30" of rain in November a month that typically brings over 4". Charlotte is now in severe drought and other portions of the Carolinas have moderate drought. Thankfully some much needed rain is on the way for the 2nd week of December. Parts of Georgia and Alabama could have over 2" of rainfall with the heaviest rain arriving on Wednesday. Parts of North Carolina and South Carolina could have between 1 and 2" of rainfall.
