NEVER RELY SOLEY ON AN OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN TO WARN YOU INSIDE IN THE EVENT OF A TORNADO

Updated: Sep 18, 2021

The NOAA, the parent agency of the National Weather Service has clear guidance on outdoor warning sirens on its website. However, it is important to note that they are called "outdoor" warning sirens. For alerts indoors at home or in the workplace, the website recommends a NOAA Weather Radio All-Hazards. As the website points out, "NOAA Weather Radio" is like a smoke detector for severe weather, and it can wake you up when a warning is issued for your area so you can take appropriate action. Sometimes sirens might not work in a certain area or you might be in an area that does not have sirens. It is so important to remain weather aware and have MULTIPLE ways to recieve warnings, tune into the local news, also monitor weather updates from my pages I am pretty much covering the weather around the clock especially dangerous weather like tornadoes and severe storms. I have a tremendous amount of technology to keep my followers informed when severe weather and tornadoes is a threat. During severe weather events I have multiple devices that I use to cover the severe weather, send out warnings and show instant radar updates. If someone you know is not weather aware talk to them about it and make them aware on days when severe weather is possible communication is key when weather becomes life threatening. Early warning is your best protection!
