La Niña conditions are present as we head throughout the fall. As I often say keep in mind just because one region of the country is expected to have below or above normal precipitation and or temperatures that does not mean no precipitation or no cold weather or warm weather for a specific region. It is important to also remember, no two La Niñas are the same. Below is a general guideline of what is typical in a La Niña. While the south and southeast typically experiences a warmer than average winter and drier than average winter during a La Niña that does not mean there will be no snow or frozen precipitation or cold snaps at times. It typically comes out around Halloween or the first week of November.
