HURRICANE FIONA Pounds Puerto Rico and eastern Caribbean. Fiona to become a Major Hurricane.

Updated: Jun 4

Fiona made landfall in Puerto Rico Sunday afternoon September 18th and has been bringing strong wind gusts and significant rainfall and flooding. There is significant damage in parts of Puerto Rico and most of Puerto Rico is without power. Fiona is expected to also impact the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos before moving into the open waters of the Atlantic and heading closer to Bermuda later this week. Fiona is expected to become a major Hurricane. Thankfully Fiona is expected to stay well east of the mainland United States. Dangerous rip currents can be expected along the east coast beaches in parts of Florida, The Carolinas and Georgia as a result of Fiona.
