HURRICANE DORIAN BY THE NUMBERS: It was a Historic Storm one that the name will likely be retired. It had 4 landfalls including 3 in the Bahamas as a Cat. 5 Major Deadly Hurricane. It is estimated that the storm has killed 50 in the Bahamas some estimates even higher than that. It had a peak wind of 185mph some of the gusts were over 220mph. Dorian was a storm for 14 days. Dorian ranks the 2nd strongest Atlantic Hurricane in History by wind speed. It had a pressure of 910mb at it's max peak intensity. At it's slowest Dorian was only moving at 1.3mph. Hurricane Allen was the only Hurricane that was stronger in 1980 with 190mph winds. September 10th marked the peak of Hurricane Season most storms occur between now and the end of October but Hurricane Season goes through the end of November.
