All 21 named storms that were on the 2020 Hurricane season list have been used. Alpha has also formed near Portugal in the northeast Atlantic Ocean. The next named storms will be Beta and Gamma. This is the 2nd time the Greek alphabet is being used for storm names during a hurricane season the last time was 2005. La Nina, less wind shear, and warm sea surface temperatures is the factors for the very active season.
