Oceans cover more than 70% of our planet and more of Earth’s ocean waters are warming than are cooling. A new study combining research from the University of Hawaii, NOAA, and gathering data from the Japan Meteorological Agency and several other agencies the study shows that in 52 years between 1968 and 2019, 72 to 79% of Ocean waters grew warmer and fewer than 5% cooled. Warming ocean waters can affect this hurricane season and the ones to come, it has and will continue to cause sea levels to rise. The warming water can have significant impacts on coral reefs, dislocate and have a profound effect on fish specifies and other marine animals.
