Below is the forecast for metro Atlanta and North Georgia, snow predictions and more. Elevations above 2500 feet could have some accumulations and especially at 3000 and 4000 feet. Fannin, Gilmer, Pickens, Towns and northern Cherokee counties could have some accumulations. It will be WINDY most of the day today and into parts of Tuesday with winds between 10 and 20 mph occasional gusts up to 35 mph are possible. A hard freeze the next 3 mornings with WIDESPREAD 20's wind chills will be in the teens Tuesday morning. Tuesday afternoon temperatures will struggle to reach the low 40's. The Smoky Mountains and parts of east Tennessee the higher elevations could see 4 to 8" of snow with isolated amounts up to 12" especially around 4000 to 6000 feet.
