Beyond The Forecast: What is Bombogenesis (often called Bomb Cyclone)?

Bombogenesis happens when a storm strengthens at least 24 millibars within 24 hours. It is an intense area of low pressure. The lower the pressure drops the stronger the storm system becomes.
