About the NEXRAD Radar Service Life Extention Program.

The National Weather Service is upgrading radars across the US which is a part of the third major project as a part of the eight-year, $150 million "NEXRAD Service Life Extension Program". The United States AIr Force, Federal Aviation Administration and the NWS has invested millions to help continue radar services into the 2030's.
