A look back at the April 2011 tornado outbreak

It has been 10 years since of one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks in US History. In April 2011 360 tornadoes were confirmed with over 300 fatalities. 4 EF5 and 11 EF4 tornadoes occurred, all on April 27th, 2011. 58 tornadoes touched down in Alabama, 13 in Georgia, 39 in Mississippi, 72 in Tennessee and many others in other states. In Georgia tornadoes touched down in Northwest Georgia and areas south of Atlanta. One single supercell thunderstorm tracked from Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and into Virginia, producing tornadoes all along the way.
