From Drought To Deluge: North Texas and much of DFW experiences flooding.

North Texas has had a series of "training thunderstorms" (storms that move over the same areas and continue to dump extremely heavy persistent rain). "Training thunderstorms" can last for a whole day or night. Much of The DFW metro area has picked up between 6 and 12" of rainfall with isolated amounts over 12". Dallas recently ended a 67 day streak with NO rainfall. Dallas and much of Texas has been in an extreme drought and has had months of intense summer heat and many days in the triple digits.
